Simaware Compatibility Issues with Various Devices and Browsers
Android Tablets and VATSIM
If you're using an Android tablet and experiencing issues with Simaware, you're not alone. The map application currently does not work on Android tablets.
Third-Party Map Applications
VATSIM does not operate its own map application. You may try using a different map application to track VATSIM flights and ATC.
Simaware Loading Issues
If Simaware is not loading properly, consider the following:
- The website was recently in beta and may still be experiencing some bugs.
- Your internet connection may be experiencing issues.
Altitude Display Discrepancies
If Simaware is displaying an incorrect altitude, it could be due to:
- A bug in the system.
- A difference between the data received from your flight simulator and the data displayed on Simaware.
iPhone and Browser Compatibility
Some users have reported issues with Simaware not loading properly on iPhone 12 devices using Safari or Chrome browsers. However, the map works when using the Arc browser.
Prefix-Suffix Pairing
If no matching prefix-suffix pair is found, Simaware will revert back to a TRACON circle.
